- Robbery
- Assault and battery
- Domestic violence matters
- Sexual assaults
- Traffic collisions, and Hit & Run collisions
- Crimes involving children
- Stolen vehicles and stolen license plates; or any other item with a unique serial number
- Crimes with evidence, such as recorded on video
- Crimes committed by a known person
- Crimes committed outside the city limits of Topeka
- Drug complaints
- Any emergency situation
- Total value of the property is less than $1500
- It is unknown who stole the property
- There is no evidence to be collected
- Value of the damage is less than $1000
- Is is unknown who caused the damage
- There is no evidence to be collected
