Online reporting is available for individuals who fall into the following categories: Loss/Asset Protection, State Authorities (DCF/APS), 501 School Police, or Private Citizens. If you do not require emergency police assistance, and you have an electronic device and access to an email address, then please utilize our new online police reports. By filing your report online, we are better able to dispatch officers around the city to respond to crime as it happens.
The Topeka Police Department can only receive reports for crimes that took place within the city limits of Topeka.
Remember, you are filing an official police report. Under Kansas Statutes Annotated 21-5904, anyone filing a false police report may be prosecuted and imprisonment in county jail for a term not to exceed 12 months and/or fine. Any abuse of this application will result in the user’s access being blocked.
